In-service Pioneras

In-service Pioneras are TWU graduate students who also work as teachers of record in a dual language classroom at one of these Denton ISD schools:

In-service Pioneras take 3 graduate courses in Spanish. Ten of them will be selected to complete an M.Ed. or a Ph.D. degree.

Eligibility

Teachers currently working in one of the participating schools as teachers of record in a dual language classroom are eligible to apply for this scholarship provided they:

• are admitted to TWU as non-degree seeking graduate students;
• have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above;
• obtain recommendation from their school Principal; and
• are permanent residents or citizens of the U.S.
