Coursework for Pre-service

Pre-service Pioneras will complete these 3 hybrid undergraduate courses in Spanish in the Fall and Spring terms:

• EDBE 4723-Teaching the Content Areas in the Bilingual Classroom: Aligned to the BTLPT and state standards for ELLs, this course highlights language concepts and proficiencies needed to deliver effective mathematics, social skills, and sciences instruction.

• EDBE 3643-Foundations of Bilingual Education: A study of the historical, legal, and theoretical foundations of bilingual education, including a review of programmatic designs.

• EDBE 3113-Bilingual Education Materials and Methods: This methods class centers on the teaching of bilinguals, emphasizing language assessment, curriculum design, program implementation and materials.
