TWU Houston celebrates opening of Student Food Market

With a goal of supporting students holistically, Texas Woman's University Institute of Health Sciences in Houston celebrated the opening of the TWU Student Food Market March 19, 2018. The Student Food Market—a joint venture between the university and the Houston Food Bank, the nation’s largest food bank in distribution— provides perishable and non-perishable food twice monthly to food insecure students.

TWU to host Transfer Connection information session April 14

Texas Woman’s University will host a Transfer Connection information session for prospective transfer students from 9:00 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 14 on the TWU Denton campus. Students will attend sessions on admissions and financial aid, meet with advisers and faculty, receive sample degree plans, learn more about TWU services tailored to transfer students and take an optional campus tour.

TWU hires director for new Center for Student Research

Texas Woman's University has hired Diana Elrod, Ph.D., to lead its new Center for Student Research. The Center is part of TWU's efforts to offer increased collaborative research and creative programs and services to its students.

Texas Woman's University has been designated as a Texas Mother-Friendly Worksite in recognition of its support for breastfeeding mothers.

TWU presents ArtsWalk: Emerging Stories April 5

The Texas Woman’s University School of the Arts invites area residents to join students, faculty and staff for ArtsWalk: Emerging Stories. Event participants will explore new perspectives in adaptive spaces around the TWU library fountain, in Redbud Theater Complex room 204, and in the Dance-Gymnastics Laboratory Building (DGL). This free, all-ages event will be held on TWU’s Denton campus from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 5.
