Texas Woman's University has implemented a food safety program in accordance with the Texas Food Establishment Rules. This program is necessary to adequately protect the health of all members of the TWU community.

Only food from licensed food establishments is permitted to be sold or given away at TWU-sponsored events, activities, or fundraisers. Examples include properly licensed food service providers, caterers, and restaurants, as well as pre-prepared foods from retailers.

Food prepared at home, or from other unlicensed sources, is not permitted to be distributed on campus. This program does not apply to departmental potlucks; however, such events must be limited to members of the department and not open to the public.
