Center for Student Leadership

For more than 10 years, Texas Woman’s Center for Student Leadership (formerly known as The Leadership Institute) has prepared students to be leaders. Originally created to address a nationally recognized need for college-level leadership training, the Institute strives to help you feel confident in your abilities to lead teams, manage projects and sharpen your public speaking skills. Center for Student Leadership members attend and support local and national projects, seminars and charities.

Opportunities

The organization's various partnerships provide you with opportunities to apply for exclusive scholarships and attend events with recognized speakers. The Center for Student Leadership is also the only pathway at Texas Woman’s University to attend a LeaderShape conference and obtain the Leadership Certificate.

What is a leader?

"Leadership is a dynamic and enduring learning process built on an identifiable set of skills and practices. These skills are attainable to all people. Leaders challenge the process, inspire a shared vision, enable others to act, model the way and encourage the heart."
