Awareness Month

September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month and the color to symbolize awareness is teal.  Friday, September 5 is WEAR TEAL DAY. One in 71 women will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer. With early detection, about 94% will survive longer than 5 years after diagnosis. However, only 15% of ovarian cancer is detected in these early stages.   Every year, 23,000 women will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer in the US and 17,000 them will die.
