Before You Apply

How to Apply

  • Apply online at ApplyTexas.org.
  • Who should complete an International Application?  Any applicant who holds a visa status.  Examples include: F1, J1, H1B, B1, Asylee, L1, TN, E1, R1, or any dependents of these visa holders.
  • Pay the Application Fee. A nonrefundable application fee of $75, is required and can be paid online through ApplyTexas.org. This fee applies to all applicants, to include new and returning students. You can pay the application fee by the following:
    • Credit card when you apply at ApplyTexas
    • Certified check or money order, payable to TWU and including the applicant's full name and ID number, mailed to:
      TWU Office of International Education
      P.O. Box 425827
      Denton, TX 76204
    • Cash (no personal checks) paid at the Bursar's Office. Bring your receipt to TWU International Education
  • Submit the following to the address below:
    • Official transcripts or marksheets and certificates of graduation in original language and the English translation. International transcripts should be sent or hand delivered to the Office of International Education whether or not you are considered an international applicant.
    • TOEFL score or exemption.

Summer

New F1 visa student from outside U.S.:

  • February 1st - ApplyTexas.org admissions application deadline
  • April 1st - Immigration deadline (Must have applied by Feb. 1st, received acceptance letter, and submitted all immigration documents for 1-20 by April 1st)

F1 visa student coming from another school within the U.S.:

  • March 1st - ApplyTexas.org admissions application deadline
  • May 1st - Deadline for submission of all immigration documents

Fall

New F1 visa student from outside U.S.:

  • March 1st - ApplyTexas.org admissions application deadline
  • May 1st - Immigration deadline (Must have applied by Feb. 1st, received acceptance letter, and submitted all immigration documents for 1-20 by May 1st)

F1 visa student coming from another school within the U.S.:

  • May 1st - ApplyTexas.org admissions application deadline
  • July 1st - Deadline for submission of all immigration documents

Spring

New F1 visa student from outside U.S.:

  • July 1st - ApplyTexas.org admissions application deadline
  • October 1st - Immigration deadline (Must have applied by Feb. 1st, received acceptance letter, and submitted all immigration documents for 1-20 by Oct 1st)

F1 visa student coming from another school within the U.S.:

  • October 1st - ApplyTexas.org admissions application deadline
  • December 1st - Deadline for submission of all immigration documents
