First-Gen Internship Prep Program

The First-Generation Internship Prep Program is a 4-week virtual program, designed to prepare first-generation undergraduate students to apply for internships and connect with professionals in the workforce.

Program schedule:

  • Week 1: Job Searching Tips & Strategies
  • Week 2: Personal Branding & Application Materials
  • Week 3: Interview Preparation
  • Week 4: Mock-Interviews

Recommended for students in their third or fourth year of school and students who have work experience, student leadership, volunteer experience, academic research projects.

*Student does not need to be a first-generation college student to apply. All majors are encouraged to apply. Program is virtual.

Spring 2024 Cohort

  • Week 1: Thursday, February 15, 2024 | 1:30pm–3:00pm
  • Week 2: Thursday, February 22, 2024 | 1:30pm–3:00pm
  • Week 3: Thursday, February 29, 2024 | 1:30pm–3:00pm
  • Week 4: Thursday, March 7, 2024 | 1:30pm–3:00pm

Applications will open on Monday, January 29 and close on Friday, February 9 at 12 (noon). Late applications will not be accepted. Must be logged in to your TWU Gmail to access application.
