Women’s business training program opens Abilene hub

An award-winning business program seeded at Texas Woman’s University’s Jane Nelson Institute for Women’s Leadership (JNIWL) that helps support women entrepreneurs across the state is planting a flag in Abilene.

For the last 10 months, Randle-Gaines has been working as a volunteer coordinator for the 2023 NCAA Men’s Final Four’s Houston Local Organizing Committee (HLOC). 

Initiative to hone public communication skills, promote community wellbeing

Graduate students at Texas Woman’s are the university’s emerging scholars and are critical to its research endeavors. Beginning this fall, they’ll participate in a five-year initiative aimed at empowering them to leverage their research through public forms of communication to influence community wellbeing.

Mehta recognized by national group

Jyutika Mehta, PhD, professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Oral Health and director of the Stroke Center - Dallas, received the Kenneth Viste, Jr., MD Memorial Lectureship Award at the 2023 American Society of Neurorehabilitation (ASNR) Annual Meeting on March 15 in Charleston, S.C.
