Record gift to support new aviation program

The TWU System Board of Regents today accepted a record $15 million gift from the Doswell Foundation that will lay the groundwork for a new aviation program.

Gamblin and Friends to celebrate collaboration

Dance professor Sarah Gamblin will perform to music composed and recorded by her 14-year-old son Gus and his father, Paul Slavens, during "Sarah Gamblin and Friends Dance" on Saturday, May 20, at 7 p.m. in the Dance-Gymnastics Laboratory Building's studio theatre.

The Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum invited Texas Woman's University history professor Katherine Landdeck, PhD, to be the speaker at the premier lecture in aviation history, the Amelia Earhart Lecture.

Fashion's seniors ready for the runway

TWU Fashion seniors will see their designs on the runway in the 2023 Senior Fashion Show on Friday, May 5, at Blagg-Huey Library. Pop-up shops will open at 5 p.m., featuring clothing produced by TWU students, and seating for the show is at 6:30. The show is at 7 p.m. and will conclude at 8.

Top scholarship winner eyes career in healthcare

Brittney Lay was presented the Texas Woman’s University 2023 Chancellor’s Endowed Scholarship, which will cover costs for tuition, fees and textbooks for four years at the university when she enrolls next fall.
