How to apply for scholarships

Pursuing higher education can be financially challenging, and we are committed to helping students achieve their academic dreams. Scholarships are available for undergraduate and graduate students in all School of Health Promotion and Kinesiology programs. Click on the Scholarship Opportunities link to learn more about available opportunities.

Additional financial aid information is available on the Financial Aid website.

Kinesiology Internships

Through internships, you will gain practical experience in the fields of cardiac rehabilitation and corporate fitness.

Undergraduate kinesiology students are required to complete 350 hours of internship experience. You can choose whether you want to do 350 hours at a cardiac rehab or corporate fitness location, or if you’d rather split your hours 175/175 between the two areas. We are here to help you figure out which route is right for your chosen career field.

Check out the Kinesiology Practicum/Internship Manual.

Below are the pre-approved sites for our internship program. Other locations are subject to department approval.

For more information, contact Kinesiology Internship Coordinator Barbara Barnick-Ben-Ezra, Ph.D., 940-898-2340.
