Adapting to the New Website

On August 16, we launched a new TWU Home page. Four links, My Courses , Pioneer Portal , Webmail and Service Desk, have new locations in the new templates. Below are some tips on adapting to the change.

My Courses now in Academics menu

My Courses is now located in the Academics menu and in the footer of the page.

Pioneer Portal, Webmail and Service Desk now in the footer

The links to Pioneer Portal, Webmail and Service Desk are in the footer of the page. See the sections below for tips on getting to the footer quickly or bookmarking these links.

Quick access to the footer

For quick access to the footer on desktop and many larger laptop computers, pressing the "End" key ("end" on Macs) will jump to the bottom of the page. For laptops without End keys, press Ctrl + ↓ (command + ↓ on Macs), or fn + → to jump the bottom of the page.

Use Info for menu for Current Students or Faculty & Staff

The Info for menu in the top left corner of the new templates contains links to the Current Students and the Faculty & Staff pages, each of which has My Courses, Pioneer Portal and the other commonly visited links at the top of the page.

Why we made these changes

We designed these new website templates in collaboration with leading higher ed digital marketing agency mStoner. Aside from bringing the look, feel and function of the site up to current standards, our main goals were to focus more on prospective students and the general public as the primary audiences of the site, and to enhance the universitys image in the world outside our university community.
