Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is a national holiday celebrating the birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr. held on the third Monday of January. MLK Day of Service commemorates of his legacy of activism and public service. TWU Volunteer Services encourages students, faculty and staff to make this holiday a day ON rather than a day OFF.

This year’s Day of Service will be on January 21st at 2 PM in the Free Speech Area between ACT & the Student Union. We will have a rally before marching to MLK Rec Center at 2:45 PM for their service program. For any questions, please contact Chris Scanlan at CScanlan1@twu.edu.
