Jana C. Perez, Associate Professor

Jana C. Perez, M.F.A., teaches graphic design classes and has been a member of the faculty since 2007. Her research interests include advertised ideas of female identity and beauty, graphic design education, and branding. She currently collaborates in work with Angilee Wilkerson in Performe La Femme and Dr. Matt Henley in Arche/types. Perez's design work has been recognized by Adweek, UCDA, Graphic Design USA, The Dallas Advertising League and The American Advertising Federation of Fort Worth. Her fine art photography has been featured in juried, invitational and solo exhibitions nationwide including The Houston Center for Photography, Woman Made Gallery in Chicago, Art Basel Miami, The Fitton Center for the Arts, and The Mary Brogan Museum of Art and Science. She has presented research at the Annual Hawaiian International Conference on Arts and Humanities, the National UCDA (University & College Designers Assoc.)
