High School students invited to apply to free TWU/AFA CyberCamp
The camp is free to accepted participants, who must apply to the program by May 15. There will be two concurrent sessions of the camp – one session will be female only, and the other session will be a mixed gender. Female applicants should indicate their preference for either session on the application form.
Only 18 will be selected to participate in each camp for a total of 36 campers, so those interested are encouraged to apply now. For more information or to apply, visit www.twu.edu/math-computer-science/twuafa-cybercamp/ or contact Dr. Jian Zhang, TWU associate professor of mathematics and computer science, by email at TWU.firstname.lastname@example.org.
Developed by the AFA and sponsored by the TWU Office of Technology, the TWU/AFA CyberCamp is targeted toward beginners in cybersecurity. No previous experience or training is required. The camp will emphasize fun, hands-on learning of cybersecurity principles that are relevant and applicable to everyday life. Each day of camp will cover new topics and activities, building up to a final team competition simulating real cybersecurity situations faced by industry professionals.
