TWU is a member of AAQEP

The Office of Educator Preparation Services (OEPS) at Texas Woman’s University supports all TWU students seeking educator certification.

Both undergraduate and graduate students can earn their initial teaching certificates at TWU.  Certified educators can pursue professional certifications through graduate programs offered in the College of Professional Education. The OEPS processes all applications for certification.

Submission Deadline: March 22, 2026

On April 20-21, Texas Woman’s University will host an initial accreditation visit by the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP). In preparation for the visit, the AAQEP Quality Review Team is soliciting public comment about the quality of educator preparation provided by Texas Woman’s University, based on AAQEP’s 2018 expectations framework. All comments must be submitted by March 22, 2026 through the AAQEP website:
