TWU wins integration award

Jul. 31, 2018 — DENTON — Texas Woman’s University was recently announced as one of three winners of the 2018 Excellence Awards by CBORD, an integrated software solutions company.

Texas Woman’s University will receive the One CBORD Award, given to an organization that exemplifies integrated planning and foresight and delivers comprehensive solutions. TWU edged out other category nominees, including the University of Notre Dame, Universal Health Services and North Carolina State University among others.

Under the direction of Beth Lewis, Director of ID Systems, Texas Woman's University has replaced older systems to offer an integrated approach to ID services. During this process, Lewis and the TWU team standardized card operations, access, security solutions and food service to include the TWU Dallas and TWU Houston campuses.

“Approximately 1,000 colleges and universities use CBORD systems,” said Lewis. “We are honored to be recognized as leaders in offering comprehensive solutions for students, faculty and staff.”

Nominations were submitted by colleagues, peers and CBORD team members, and winners were chosen by committee. Nominees included organizations from healthcare, higher education and senior living industries and represent achievements in creating unique solutions using CBORD technologies to serve their customers. The annual awards recognize two organizations and one individual.

“As is the case every year, we had a robust list of innovative and successful organizations as nominees," said Jim Hoefflin, CBORD President. "It is an honor to work with all of them. The final group of esteemed winners represents the best of the best, and we are proud to be associated with their successes.”

Winners will be honored at the Excellence Awards Dinner on Monday, Oct. 8 during the 39th annual CBORD User Group Conference.
