TWU Partners with JCPenney for “Suit-Up” Event

 

Mar. 26, 2019 — DENTON — Texas Woman’s University and JCPenney have teamed up to provide a 40 percent discount to students, alumni, faculty and staff on Sunday, Mar. 31 in Denton at the Golden Triangle Mall from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. and in Frisco at Stonebriar Mall from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Select men’s and women’s career dress apparel and shoes will be eligible for the discount. In addition, Sephora inside the stores will provide a FREE mini makeover and sample, and salons will provide a FREE hair consultation.

“This is the third year for the event and the second semester for the Frisco location,” said Kelsey Carroll, TWU Career Consultant. “Suit Up helps TWU students, alumni, faculty and staff get a great wardrobe, build confidence and make a good first impression while on a budget.”  

At the Denton JCPenney location, shoppers can come in on Friday or Saturday to find the items, try them and put them on hold until the Sunday event. The Denton location will be closed to the public during the event. A valid ID and TWU email address are required at event check-in.

The complete list of approved items will be provided during check in, and balloons and colored sign toppers will help shoppers identify eligible items.

"The JCPenney suit-up event is a wonderful program from top to bottom that really helped me,” said Demetrius Fleming, TWU student. “JCPenney and the Career Center showed me how to blend affordable professional wear with my personal style.”

Houston students and employees can pick up coupons at the Houston Student Life office that are valid until May.
