Student Health Services to relocate and temporarily close

Aug. 27, 2018 — DENTON — To make way for the new Student Union in Denton, Texas Woman’s University will relocate Student Health Services (SHS) from Hubbard Hall to Jones Hall. The move will begin on Friday, Sept. 14 and will continue through Monday, Sept. 17. 

During the closure, ALL services will be affected and no direct communication with SHS will be available. All services include: medical appointments, walk-in services, immunizations and lab work, immunization verification and compliance services, medication renewals, insurance processing, phone consultations, email communications and TWU Patient Portal communications. 

Students affected by immunization compliance should plan ahead and submit records for review and verification prior to the closure dates. 

Normal SHS operations will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018 at 8 a.m. in Jones Hall, Suite 120.  For medical emergencies, students are encouraged to call 911 or report to the nearest emergency room.

SHS will host an open house in its new location later this year.
