Thad Mantaro joined Texas Woman’s University as the inaugural director of the health and wellbeing initiative in August 2017. He previously worked at Colgate University where he was director of the Shaw Wellness Institute. At TWU Thad has responsibility for the strategic leadership, vision, implementation, and direction of an institutional commitment to advance positive and healthy lifestyles. He implements best practices, designs future campus strategies, and leads planning for a comprehensive approach to health and wellbeing at TWU for students, faculty, and staff.
Jessi Harbor, MS, MS, CHES
Assistant Director of the Health and Wellbeing Initiative
Jessi Harbor joined Texas Woman’s University in April 2018 as the Assistant Director of the Health and Wellbeing Initiative. Jessi graduated from the University of North Texas with a B.S. in Biology and earned her M.S. in Clinical Research Management from UNT Health Science Center. She later earned an M.S. in Health Education from Texas A & M University and became a Certified Health Education Specialist. She worked for a number of years in research and healthcare quality improvement focusing on patient experience and shared decision making. Jessi has a passion for helping people find health and wellbeing. In her spare time, Jessi enjoys gardening, farming, and spending time with her family.
