Professional Development

Staff Council invites members of the staff community to apply for the TWU Staff Development Grant. Awards up to $300 are available to assist in defraying costs for professional developmental training and materials. Grant funding may be used for the purchase of books, subscriptions, software, workshops, webinars, materials, training, and more. Staff Council strongly encourages all full-time staff members to apply.

Please contact Karen York, TWU Staff Council Professional Development Grant Coordinator at kyork5@twu.edu or 940-898-2807 with any questions.

What can you do with a Staff Development Grant?

Each Fall and Spring semester, TWU staff members will be able to apply for special funding to help cover the costs of professional developmental training and materials. These unique micro-grants are designed to assist TWU staff in taking advantage of opportunities for professional growth available both inside and outside of the university.

“TWU's mantra of being a campus with a heart extends to both alumni and friends of our beloved university. As a recipient of the Professional Development Grant, I was able to master and demonstrate a proven body of fundraising knowledge, competencies, and best practices and earn the internationally recognized Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), further proving TWU's commitment to excellence.”
