Non-Degree Seeking Study
SLIS admits Library Science non-degree seeking students who meet one of the following two conditions, when spaces are available:
1. The applicant already has the MLS degree;
2. The applicant is in the process of applying for SLIS degree-seeking admission and must take a SLIS course(s) immediately to meet the requirement of an employment or financial aid agency, in which case the applicant must arrange a letter from the employer or financial aid agency on its letterhead with signature to be sent directly to the SLIS office.
To apply as a non-degree seeking student, complete the Apply Texas online application. Follow the instructions for Graduate Non-Degree Applicants from the Office of Admissions Processing.

- Applications continue to be accepted until all available spaces are filled.
- The preferred application deadlines are July 1 for the Fall semester, December 1 for the Spring semester, and May 1 for the Summer semester.
