Faculty positions

The School of Occupational Therapy is a highly ranked, accredited program in the College of Health Sciences. TWU offers entry-level MOT, post-professional OTD, and PhD in Occupational Therapy degrees. TWU is a publicly funded co-educational institution that is designated as a Doctoral/research-intensive University by the Carnegie Foundation. The main TWU campus is in Denton, with health science campuses in Houston and Dallas.

Tenure Track Faculty Positions

Texas Woman's University is seeking research motivated individuals for full-time tenure-track 9-month faculty positions in the School of Occupational Therapy at the assistant or associate rank, contingent on credentials. Responsibilities include research production, direction of master’s and/or doctoral work, didactic and/or clinical teaching, and participation in service. Applicant must hold a doctorate in occupational therapy or related field.

Associate Director positions

Denton & Houston

The School is seeking Associate Directors for the Denton and Houston campuses who will foster a climate of intellectual vitality and academic excellence, and will support our innovative and community-centered faculty members in their teaching, scholarship, and service activities. The Associate Directors manage the day-to-day operations of the campus programs including budget and staff supervision. The Associate Directors works closely with the School Director and the Associate Directors on each campus.

Associate Directors must hold the rank of Associate Professor or Professor and serve in a dual administrative/faculty capacity, modeling excellence through an active line of research and teaching/mentoring.

Desired Qualifications:

  • An active line of research, funding and publication
  • A demonstrated record of teaching and service
  • Experience in leadership and interprofessional collaboration
  • Occupational therapy practice experience
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Required Qualifications:

  • An earned academic doctorate
  • Eligibility for occupational therapist licensure in the State of Texas
