Nursing CAS Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Do I have to be a current TWU student to apply to NursingCAS?
A. Yes. Only valid TWU students will be considered for upper-division nursing admission. If not a current student, apply first to TWU using ApplyTexas. Apply to TWU several weeks in advance of the nursing application deadline to ensure your application to TWU is processed in time for you to complete your NursingCAS application by the deadline. You will need to submit your TWU Colleague ID number and TWU email address for verification as part of your NursingCAS application.
Q. Do I need to send copies of my transcripts to NursingCAS?
A. No. TWU processes your nursing application using ONLY transcripts sent to TWU Admissions Processing in Denton. Please make sure we have your most recent transcripts on file with us, including any coursework that might have been completed elsewhere since your initial submission of transcripts as part of your TWU application.
Q. Do I need to enter my coursework into NursingCAS?
A. No, since we use the transcripts on file with TWU, there is no need to enter your coursework into NursingCAS’s Academic History section.
Q. What does it mean that my application is Unverified?
A. Verification is a feature of NursingCAS that TWU does not utilize. As long as your NursingCAS application status shows “Received,” TWU should be able to access it for processing.
Q. How do I monitor the status of my NursingCAS application?
A. Once submitted, you will not be able to monitor the status of your application through NursingCAS. TWU Nursing staff will contact you, using the email address listed within your NursingCAS account, should we have questions about your application. Admissions decisions will also be emailed. Make certain that NursingCAS is on your “safe senders” list within your email account to avoid our notifications being marked as spam.
