How Pioneer basketball fans can experience Final Four action

As the Texas Woman’s basketball team continues its historic run through the NCAA Division II national tournament, Pioneer fans have some options to experience game day action.

Texas Woman’s University will host a free watch party at 6 p.m. Wednesday in two locations: Bridges Auditorium in the Student Union at Hubbard Hall, and at the Dining Hall. The nationally televised game will be broadcast live on the big screen in the auditorium and door prizes will be awarded. Sports bar-style food will be served at the Dining Hall, where several TV screens will broadcast the game.

If the Pioneers win on Wednesday, advancing to the championship game, students, faculty and staff have the option of riding in a fan bus on Friday to watch the championship game live in St. Joseph, Missouri. Transportation and tickets to the game are free for students, who must register for the event.

The bus will leave the Denton campus at 8 a.m. Friday and return immediately following the game. Tipoff on Friday is set for 7 p.m. Central Time.

Faculty and staff are welcome to caravan with the fan bus in their own vehicles or may also complete our sign-up form to ride the bus.

Seating is limited, so fans are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible. A waitlist will be maintained. For those that want to watch or stream the game on their own, you may go to CBS Sports for details.
