TWU Visual Arts professor Colby Parsons manned the Denton booth at SXSWi
Colby Parsons runs the Texas Woman's University ceramics program at our Denton campus, but as a maker representing TWU at the 2016 South by Southwest Interactive Trade Show, he offered visitors to the Denton booth a glimpse into another interactive art form.
Parsons is working on an interactive art counterpart for choreographed dance performances, which can be manipulated using a series of knobs and switches. His research interests include 3D Printing and his work has been shown in a variety of places including the Orange County Center for Contemporary Art in California, The International Ceramic Research Center in Denmark, the University of Pennsylvania Art Museum, and in Dallas at the Craighead Green Gallery, the Pawn Gallery, and 500X.
