TWU's 'Kids for Health' Day offers low-cost health services for children
DENTON— The Texas Woman’s University Dental Hygiene Clinic and Speech, Language and Hearing Clinic are teaming up to provide low-cost dental hygiene services and hearing and speech/language screenings for local children.
TWU’s “Kids for Health” Day, for children ages 5 to 12, will take place from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, with the last appointment scheduled for 5 p.m. The event will take place in the university’s Dental Hygiene Clinic, located in room 102 of the Multipurpose Classroom and Laboratory Building located on the corner of Bell Avenue and College Street. Services to be provided at the event include:
• Dental cleaning
• Dental exam
• Any necessary dental X-rays
• Professional fluoride treatment
• Hearing and speech/language screenings
The cost of the services is $20. Registration is required by 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30.

TWU students will provide the services under the direct supervision of licensed professionals.
School excuses will be provided if necessary.
