This introductory training in the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music at TWU is taught as a 5-day, 36 continuing credit hour intensive. This immersion in the Bonny Method offers experienced therapists an entryway into training in this method and provides advanced students in music therapy and mental health professions with an experiential taste of the power of music as an agent of change. A minimum of one personal GIM session with a trained facilitator or an Introduction to the Bonny Method CMTE course is a pre-requisite to this training. TWU music therapy graduate students may enroll up for one practicum credit but must pay for extra food.

The Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music Level I Training is approved by the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT) for 36 Continuing Education credits. The Southwestern Region of the American Music Therapy Association, AP-055 maintains responsibility for program quality and adherence to CBMT policies and criteria.
