Dr. Corey Rom currently serves as music minister at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in McKinney TX. As minister, he conducts the church choir, works with the youth, and is developing new music programs for the future.

As an educator, Dr. Rom is currently the tuba and euphonium instructor at Texas Woman’s University and Collin College. As a performer, Dr. Rom plays with the Lone Star Wind Orchestra and its resident brass quintet. He has also toured and recorded with the international performing group The King’s Brass.

Dr. Rom received his Bachelors of Music and did his Master’s work in tuba performance from the University of Colorado at Boulder. In May of 2015, he also received his Doctorate of Music Arts degree in Brass Performance from the University of Texas at Austin.

When Dr. Rom is not performing or teaching, he likes to spend time with his lovely wife, Rhonda, and daughters, Elise and Sydney. He also enjoys reading, sketching, solving blacksmith’s puzzles, and adding to his collection of playing cards.
