March 5 - 30, 2012
Blagg-Huey Library
Curated by the Woman’s Collection Staff

Before the 1970s, the topic of women’s history was largely missing from the general public’s consciousness. This exhibit will feature stories of women who empower and engage the female spirit and transformed the way we think about women. Stories such as Angie Nesbitt who pulled a man twice her size from the cold waters of his submerged car or Amy Biehl who gave her life to fight against apartheid in South Africa. This exhibit will feature photographs, books, documents, and artifacts of women who revolutionized our world.
