How To Request Materials from Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a service offered by the TWU Libraries that allows TWU students, faculty and staff to borrow items and obtain research materials that TWU does not own from other libraries. Check TWUniversal to be sure we do not already own the material in print, as an e-book, or as a full-text article available through our online databases.

Books, chapters, articles and other materials unavailable in the TWU Libraries may be requested through ILLiad (Interlibrary Loan internet accessible database). Textbooks, reference, non-circulating, media materials, and Houston reserve items may not be requested through ILL.Materials are obtained at no cost whenever possible. In the case where there is a fee to obtain materials, users will be notified via email before charges are incurred. The ILLiad system allows users to track their requests, check due dates, receive electronic documents, and receive email from ILL. A one-time, online registration form must be completed to set up your ILLiad account. All ILL requests must be submitted through an ILLiad account. ILL requests are non-renewable.
