Housing

For on-campus housing visit University¬†Housing and Residence Life.

For off-campus housing, see:

Money

Bring sufficient funds to cover your expenses for several weeks. It is advisable to bring traveler's checks and not to carry cash. It is a good idea, however, to exchange some currency for United States dollars to cover immediate expenses, such as transportation, phone calls, and tips. Contact a bank in your country for instructions on how to transfer funds to a bank in Texas. The university and local businesses accept only United States dollars.

Tuition

Be prepared to pay tuition for the first semester upon arrival. You will receive a bill for tuition charges and all applicable fees (including housing and meal plans, if living on campus) which must be paid when registering for your classes. You can pay by cash, check, traveler's checks, money order, or credit card. You can contact the Cashier's Office for information regarding the Installment Plan, which will allow you to pay your bill in three monthly installments.

Testing for tuberculosis

All testing must take place in the United States at a licensed medical facility. Immediately upon arrival, you should visit the Health Services office to be screened for tuberculosis. You will not be allowed to register for classes until you have been cleared by Student Health Services. Note: It may take TWU Student Health Services 48-72 hours to receive your TB test results after the blood test.
