Honors Scholar Program

The Honors Scholar Program at TWU is one of the ten most selective in the state of Texas with limited enrollment for freshman and transfer students who have completed an honors program at another college or university. It is open to any student from any major, and it stresses, not more course work, but more interesting course work. In addition to a challenging academic curriculum in the classroom, students have the opportunity to combine academic courses with attendance at cultural events, service in the local community, and domestic travel to the national honors conference as well as the regional honors conference. Every year, students also have the chance to receive credit by going on the honors travel abroad trip to Europe.

Students have won fellowships from Phi Kappa Phi and have been selected for prestigious local, state-wide and national internships, including NASA, the Texas Senate, the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and many more.
