Waste

TWU’s operations generate a wide variety of wastes, many of which MAY NOT be disposed of in the normal trash. There are strict federal, state, and local regulations governing how such waste materials must be handled while on campus as well as how they may be disposed of.

In addition to the pages in this section covering hazardous and medical/biohazardous waste, refer to the Radiation Safety page for information about radioactive wastes.

To request a pickup of regulated waste (chemical, medical, biohazardous, radioactive, etc.), please fill out the waste pickup request appropriate to the type of waste you have generated.

For a map of publically available sharps disposal containers, consult the TWU Sharps Containers Across Campus map.
