TWU Students and Fit & Rec members may sponsor their children, under the age of 17, to climb during designated family climb hours on Thursday 3:00pm-8:00pm and Saturday 11:00am-4:00pm.

Climbing Wall Clinic & Event Details
Intro to Climbing Clinic
New to Climbing? Learn the basic foundation of belaying, basic knot tying, hold types and basic movement in this clinic.
This clinic will prepare you to understand the difference between rope climbing and bouldering, focusing more on types of holds and techniques that are necessary to improve your bouldering skills.
Lead Climbing Clinic
This Clinic will teach you the foundational skills in lead climbing at the TWU Climbing Wall. Prior top-rope experience at 5.9 level is required to participate in this clinic. After competition student may lead climb at TWU Climbing Wall during open hours.
Build Your Own Route
Have you ever wanted to build your own route at the TWU Climbing Wall? Join us for this clinic if you would like to learn the basics of route building and have your own climbing route at the climbing wall!
For a whole week the TWU Climbing Wall will be open for black light climbing! Come check it out and try the new black light routes we will be putting up!
If you have always wanted to learn how to properly rappel, this clinic is for you! Learn how to rappel with control and with different devices. Requirement: students must be belay certified for at least one month and comfortable using a GriGri.
