Meet Our Staff
David has been at TWU since November of 2004 and serves as Director of the Student Union and Conference Services. He currently serves on three campus committees including Special Event, Student Code of Conduct and the TWU Emergency Management Planning Committee. He is a member of ACUI (Association of College Unions International) and ACCED-I (Association of Collegiate Conference and Events Directors – International) and is currently the ACCED-I Region 7 Director. In the Denton community, he volunteers with Denton Boys Baseball. David graduated from Baylor University and has a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications and a Master of Science in Education, Sport Management. He enjoys playing golf and spending time with his wife and two kids.

Paige has been at TWU since November 2012 and was promoted to Assistant Director of Conference Services in March of 2015. She is the primary contact for all events in Hubbard Hall and non-academic scheduling of Denton classroom space. In addition, she assists with a select number of summer camps and conferences at TWU. Paige currently sits on the Special Event Committee, Orientation Advisory Committee, Family Weekend Committee, and Boo at the U. Previously, she has served on the TWU Festival of Lights Committee and the Student Life Workshop Committee. Paige enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with her family.

Maria has been at TWU since April 2016. She is the primary contact for the Little Chapel-in-the-Woods, the Gertrude Gibson House, and the Gardens. Additionally, she assists with summer camps and conferences and serves on the Block Party committee. Maria graduated from the University of Dallas on May 2015 with a degree on Human Sciences and worked for the Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce prior to arriving at TWU. She is originally from Mexico City and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Joanna began her journey at TWU in January 2015 as a Graduate Assistant in the CARE office and joined the Conference Services team in November 2016. Today, she is the primary contact for summer camps, Margo Jones Performance Hall, and Pioneer Park. Joanna graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Tarleton State University in 2013, and with a Master of Science degree from Texas Woman’s University in 2016. In her spare time, she enjoys teaching group exercise classes and spending time with her loved ones.

Judy has been at TWU since May of 2014. She assists the office with administrative duties including budgets, reports, and purchasing. In addition, she schedules tours for the First Ladies Dress Collection and assists with the approximately 2,000 event reservations that come through Conference Services each year. She is from South Carolina and likes to travel, explore Texas, walk, read and crochet. Most of all Judy enjoys spending time with her husband, children, granddaughter, family members and friends.
First Ladies Dress Collection and Little Chapel Tour Guide
Ann joined the staff of the Woman’s Collection in the TWU Library in 1997. Her main responsibilities were the records of women’s organizations, the University Archives, and the Cookbook Collection. After retiring from the library, she began working for Conference Services giving tours and presentations on the DAR First Ladies Historic Costume Collection and the Little Chapel in the Woods. Prior to coming to TWU, Ann worked at Dallas brokerage firm Weber, Hall, Sale and Associates, the advertising agency Doyle, Dane, Bernbach in New York City, and the administrative offices of the Peace Corps in Washington, D.C. She is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin. Ann became active in the Wednesday Study Club of Sanger and the Texas Federation of Women’s Clubs when she and her husband moved to Sanger in the late 1980s and continues her volunteer work with those organizations.
