Amy O'Keefe

Amy earned a Master's degree in Educational Administration from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, IL and a Bachelor's in Philosophy from Miami University, Oxford, OH.  Prior to working in higher education, she worked in the field of child abuse and neglect. She has served commuter and nontraditional students over 6 years, including founding the TWU Office for Commuter & Non-traditional Students (2006) and serving on national commuter student organizations.  Amy is passionate about meeting the unique needs of commuters, student parents, veterans, adult learners, online and transfer students.

Annie Phillips

Annie has a Master's degree in Communication Studies from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from Angelo State University. She began her career at TWU in the Fall of 2007 teaching Public Speaking. In addition, she has contributed to TWU as the Advisor of The Lasso, TWU’s student run newspaper. Today, Annie focuses on helping off-campus and online students connect with each other and TWU through the use of social networks and other new media. After careers in television news, public relations, and software training, Annie now enjoys using her skills and life experiences to help students find success at TWU and beyond.

Jessica Burchfield

Jessica earned a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Texas Woman’s University. She began her career at TWU in the Summer of 2012. Jessica worked as a TWU graduate assistant in various Student Life departments while pursuing her education. In addition, Jessica has experience working with troubled youth as a counselor. Today, Jessica coordinates the Holiday Gift Program, the Apartment Fair, Veterans Day as well as National Non-traditional Student Week. Jessica also advises two honor societies and assists with the oversight of the Empowering Women as Leaders scholarship. She looks forward to helping any and all students in need to exceed their own personal, professional, and educational goals here at Texas Woman’s University.
