A note of thanks Aug 29 2014

Aug. 29, 2014

Dear Colleagues,

Always recalling my own feelings of uncertainty and confusion as a student coming to campus for the first time, I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate what each of you are doing to make the new students feel welcome and supported. How they (and their families) perceive that initial TWU experience is such an important influence on their overall perceptions of TWU — and the friends or siblings who might become future students.

I loved learning about the activities like Move-In Days, the First-Year Commencement, the Block Party, and facilitation of the Informational Tables during the first week of class. Despite our hot weather, you made such a difference by welcoming our students with a friendly smile and, most importantly, the TWU maroon and white spirit.

Thank you and enjoy the long weekend....
