Proposal Development – CRDA staff will work directly with faculty to help create grant proposals. Additionally, the staff will facilitate research interest groups to increase collaborative research both within and outside of the TWU community. If requested, CRDA staff will budget time into grant proposals to provide the needed level of support throughout the duration of the project, from proposal to publication. Typical services in this phase would include:

  • Refining research design
  • Team building
  • Grant writing
  • Power analysis
  • Methods and analysis planning
  • Matching research design to data analysis plan

Data Collection – TWU CRDA staff collectively have years of experience working in research and can help support faculty through the data collection process. In addition to working one-on-one with faculty on specific projects, workshops and trainings on data collection and management will be provided. Typical services in this phase would include:

  • Review of data collection methods
  • Data entry file set up and training
  • Evaluate PsychData/online surveys
  • Protocol creation, implementation procedures, and fidelity
  • Support when working with other institutions

Pre-analysis – CRDA staff will guide or complete the data cleaning, preliminary analysis, and assumptions testing phase of the project. Typical services in this phase would include:

  • Check for valid data
  • Score/recode variables
  • Test assumptions and outliers, etc.
  • Develop qualitative and quantitative analysis plans

Analysis – Based on the obtained data, the CRDA consultants can plan and execute the appropriate analysis. Findings of analysis will also be conveyed to faculty in digestible (non-statistical) language. Typical services in this phase would include:

  • Confirm analysis plan
  • Develop outline of results
  • Run analysis, statistical explanation, affirmation of qualitative coding, etc.
  • Layterms of findings

Results – CRDA consultants will support the reporting of findings through posters, white papers, and manuscripts and will create formal results write ups, including tables and figures. They will also support the manuscript submission and revision process. Typical services in this phase would include:

  • Posters
  • White papers
