Instructors now have the option to include improved analytics in courses. Eventually Analytics Beta will replace the current Course Analytics but for now, Analytics Beta and Course Analytics can be used concurrently.
The first feature available within Analytics Beta is Course Grade. Course Grade allows instructors to view the average course grade for all course data using an interactive chart or table. Additionally, instructors can filter analytics results to compare the average course grade with a specific section, student, or assignment.
For detailed information about Analytics Beta: Course Grade, review the Release Notes.

Canvas has a new gradebook with enhanced functionality to sort and filter columns. This gradebook retains the functionality you are used to seeing while adding some new features to allow you to customize your gradebook. To find out more about the New Gradebook go to the New Gradebook Guide - Table of Contents.

The following message was sent on behalf of Dr. Alan Utter, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs:
I am pleased to announce that Canvas by Instructure has been selected as the sole learning management system (LMS) at Texas Woman’s University. The Canvas system is ready for use, but Blackboard will remain available through Summer 2019 in order to allow for a phased transition. PLEASE NOTE: All courses must be transitioned to Canvas prior to Fall 2019.
