Prior to joining the faculty at Texas Woman’s University in 2005, Sheila Hyde gained valuable experience in various HR generalist roles in the manufacturing, non-profit and higher education industries and as a manager in the retail industry. She has had responsibilities in recruitment and selection, legal compliance, onboarding, safety, benefits management, employee relations, and employee training and development.
Along with her master’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Hyde is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources by the Human Resources Certification Institute and as a Senior Certified Professional by the Society for Human Resources Management. Her current undergraduate courses include Human Resources Management, Legal Issues in Human Resources Management, Management of Compensation, and Employee Training and Development. She supports our student chapter of Society of Human Resource Management at TWU as one of the faculty advisors.
