San Antonio Chapter meeting at the studio of artist Susan Butler– March 3
The TWU Alumni Association’s San Antonio Chapter will hold their next meeting on Saturday, March 3, 2018. It will be a 11:30 AM lunch meeting to be held at Susan Butler’s home studio. Susan handcrafts lamp work and flame work glass jewelry and beads. She will be demonstrating how she designs this jewelry. She will then have a showing at the end in which we can purchase the jewelry (earrings, necklaces, bracelets, etc.). Susan is well known for her Gallery showings at the San Antonio Museum of Art, Gallery Vetro, McNay Museum of Art. Take a look at her website www.conbriobeads.com for her many jewelry designs. Fort Worth Chapter meeting at the Kimbell Art Museum – March 24
The TWU Alumni Association’s Fort Worth Chapter will meet on Saturday, March 24, 2018, 10:30am until 12:30pm at the Kimbell Art Museum, 3333 Camp Bowie Boulevard, Fort Worth, TX 76107-2792. You are welcome to purchase a delicious lunch in The Buffet Restaurant on site at a nominal cost. Remember to bring some extra money for scholarship donations.

All Alumni are encouraged to attend while the classes ending in "3" and "8" will be honored. The Class of 1968 will be recognized as the "Golden Girls".
Many events, including the Accolades Awards Luncheon, Chapel Service, Spirit Fair and Reunion Dinner, will be planned for the alumni on Friday and Saturday. The TWU campus, with students, faculty and staff will celebrate with week-long activities. From showcasing student research and recognition of faculty and staff to welcoming home alumni, this is the time we celebrate the history and excellence of our tradition-rich university. Will you join us in this week-long celebration?

We are looking for a diverse group of volunteer alumni who would be interested in serving on the Board of Directors. Alumni who are committed to TWU and the alumni association and who have a variety of career backgrounds and expertise are needed to create a strong and active board. Juanita Duenez-Lazo named President of TWU's Alumni Association
In April 2016, I accepted the role of President for the Texas Woman's University Former Students Association. At that time, the FSA membership also voted to change its name to the TWU Alumni Association.
