Outstanding Student Awards
Each spring, the TWU Alumni Association recognizes Outstanding Students. Since 1971, The Alumni Association has supported Texas Woman's University's best students.
Purpose of the Awards
To honor outstanding students who demonstrate excellence through academic coursework, scholarly efforts, and involvement in activities that bring distinction to the University.
To be eligible, undergraduate, and graduate students must be projected to graduate in December 2017 or May 2018 or have completed degree requirements by the August 2018 academic year. They must have a minimum overall GPA of 3.50.
Faculty, staff, or students are eligible to nominate qualified students by completing the brief nomination form. Students may also nominate their peers or themselves. The deadline is October 16, 2017.
After you nominate a student, the student will be contacted and encouraged to apply for the award.
Criteria Considered for Award Selection
- Minimum grade point average of 3.5
- Three recommendation forms (For graduate students: one form must be completed by major professor/advisor)
- Personal statement
- Resume/Curriculum Vita
Deadlines for Completed Application Materials
All nominees will be emailed instructions regarding Blackboard, recommendation forms and other info by mid-October.
