Jennifer L. Flanagan, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Management in the School of Management at Texas Woman’s University. Prior to joining TWU in 2016, Dr. Flanagan worked for Texas A&M University – Commerce as an instructor and Assistant Professor.
Born and raised in the DFW area, Jennifer graduated from Texas A&M University – Commerce with a BS in Business Administration. In 2004, she earned her MBA from Texas Woman’s University, followed by a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology in 2009 from Texas A&M University – Commerce. Dr. Flanagan also earned a post-doctoral degree in Marketing and Management from the University of Florida (2015).
Before entering higher education, Dr. Flanagan worked 5 years in management positions in HR/payroll, employee relations, and retail for a handful of mid and large-sized companies in the DFW area, with several years of experience in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, and managing employees of all backgrounds. After leaving the business sector, Jennifer taught in public schools for 4 years, earning her Texas teaching certification in 2003.
She still outsources her services in resume and job interview consulting, and assist local school districts with college prep programs.
Dr. Flanagan’s research involves issues in diversity management, stereotype threat, and organizational behavior.
