In-Classroom Workshops Available
	  ·         Thesis Development
·         Research and Writing
·         Plagiarism
·         MLA/APA Documentation Styles

Classroom Introductions to the Write Site

We also make 15-20 minute in-class presentations or have faculty bring their class to visit the Write
Site as a group to familiarize students with the writing center’s services.
Faculty may call 898-2341 to make an appointment.

Individualized Tutoring by Appointment

Students may visit the Write Site for up to one hour each week.  We recommend students make two 30-minute appointments
per week rather than a single one-hour appointment so they may revise their writing between sessions making the actual
face-to-face sessions more productive.

Online Tutoring

Students may use the Online Writing Lab (OWL); for details, click here. OWL sessions are best suited to the needs and
writing experiences of students in upper-level and graduate courses, as well as those students who live and attend
classes at tour satellite campuses or enroll in online classes.

Guidelines for Faculty

Please follow these guidelines:

  • ·         Schedule all classroom visits and/or workshops by calling Laura Bass the Write Site secretary at           940-898-2341.

  • ·         When referring students to the writing center, please have students bring assignment descriptions or any documentation required.  Students should come to the center with an idea of what they need to work on in each session.  A Write Site Referral Form is attached as a separate document to help guide the student's work.  Please copy and use this form as needed.

  • ·         Please contact the secretary (lbass@twu.edu) or director (ldoddy@twu.edu) by email with any questions.
