Hello! My name is Rachel, and I am in my second semester as an English graduate student at TWU. My focus is on British literature, but I am very interested in composition as well and hope to teach in the future. I grew up in a small town in Texas and received my BA with a double major in English and theatre from Berry College in Rome, Georgia, in 2002. I am happy to be back in Texas after ten years of living across the U.S. and working a variety of jobs from teaching preschool to being a trainer at a fitness club. I enjoy reading, writing, singing, dancing, jogging with Joe-dog, sewing, theatre, baking for friends, and gardening.
Hi, I’m Harry, and I’m just getting underway with the Ph.D. program in Rhetoric. My wife is pursuing an MS in Family Therapy. I started at TWU in 1999 after a “career” in light construction, retail, truck-driving, and warehouse work. I have a BA and MA both from TWU and now feel I should have something small, useful yet modest—maybe a trashcan—named after me. I love movies and music and am particularly fond of blues and rock. I look forward to working in the Write Site this semester.
Hello! My name is Nancy, and I am a native Texan born in Corpus Christi. After twenty-five years in an energy related industry, I returned to study and complete my education, receiving a BA in English from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 2003 and an MA from the University of North Texas in 2007. I have conducted research and completed special problem projects focusing on American and British literature. I am a first year student in the Ph.D. Rhetoric Program at TWU. I enjoy sailing and fishing.
Hi, I'm Michelle. I am an English undergraduate at the Denton TWU campus. I've been with The Write Site since the fall '06 semester. When I'm not doing school work, I love to travel and hear about new places. I've been to parts of Europe and South America, but before I go anywhere else, I'd like to see more of the USA. My favorite color is brown, and I love to eat breakfast. French toast is the best! I live off campus with my cord-eating rabbit Thaddeus.
Hi, my name is Lavada, and I'm a senior undergraduate student majoring in English with a minor in psychology. I am a member of Sigma Tau Delta and ERGO (English Rhetoric Graduate Organization). Scheduled to graduate in May, I have been accepted to Chatham University's graduate program for a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, reading and writing literature, and watching movies.
Hello, my name is Natalie, and I'm a junior in the undergraduate program at TWU. I am currently double majoring in English and history with a minor in Spanish. When I'm not working at The Write Site or studying, I'm usually spending time with my three dogs, going to church, watching The Office, or star-gazing.
Hello! My name is Fawn, and I am currently a junior undergraduate pursuing an English major with a minor in either women’s studies or history. When I am not spending my time studying or working in The Write Site, you can find me working with veterans’ issues, outdoors, or in my kitchen cooking and baking. I look forward to meeting any students who would like help in planning and developing their writing assignments.
