In-Classroom Workshops Available

Faculty can make arrangements for a Write Site consultant to visit their classroom and lead workshops over various aspects of writing. These workshops are available to undergraduate and graduate classes. Due to the amount of time needed to prepare for these formal workshops, faculty should schedule them at least two weeks in advance so consultants can prepare presentations and handouts for the class.  Faculty should also be aware that these workshops are detailed and therefore should allow sufficient class time for workshops to be completed. We offer formal workshops in the following:

  • Thesis Development
  • Research and Writing
  • Plagiarism
  • MLA/APA Documentation Styles

Classroom Introductions to the Write Site

Writing consultants are available to make 15-20 minute in-class presentations or faculty may bring her/his class to visit The Write Site as a group to familiarize students with the center's services.  These shorter, more informal introductions provide students with basic information about The Write Site.

To Schedule a Workshop or an Introduction

To schedule a workshop or an in-class introduction to The Write Site, please contact The Write Site Tutor Coordinator, Dr. Jennifer Phillips-Denny, at 940.898.2118, jphillipsdenny@twu.edu, or come by CFO 130.
