Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is a national holiday celebrating the birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr. held on the third Monday of January. MLK Day of Service will be January 18, 2016 and commemorates of his legacy of activism and public service. TWU Volunteer Services encourages students, faculty and staff to make this holiday a day ON rather than a day OFF.
