Also, see the article published about the Service Efforts here!
Fall for Fall Service Day is a university wide day of service that encourages students, faculty and staff to join hands and serve in their community during the first weeks of the academic school year. Faculty and staff serve as site leaders and engage with students during the service activities. Upon their return to campus, during the closing lunch, site leaders, through facilitation of reflection discuss the learning and lasting effects of the service that occurred.
As a result of participation in Fall for Fall Service Day participants are able to:
- Engage actively and thoughtfully in programs to support the local community;
- Reflect on and provide analysis of personal development and learning; and
- Gain insight into local non-profit agencies
