The Texas Veterans Leadership Program (TVLP) is designed to assist veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan with employment and training services. The TVLP includes 28 veterans who serve as local Veterans Resources and Referral Specialists (VRRS) for the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC).
The TVLP is modeled after the Vietnam Veterans Leadership program which involved successful veterans helping their fellow veterans who were unemployed, under-employed or who had lingering problems associated with their military experience.
